Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston is seeking a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) for a per diem night shift. The role offers a $18.00/hour rate and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Candidates must be enrolled in an ADN or BSN program and provide proof of completing the first year of fundamentals of nursing to join our team for hands-on experience. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and able to provide proof of completion of year 1/fundamentals of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick glucose, bladder scans, specimen collection, ostomy care and drainage tube management.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN.
• Deliver meals and assist feeding; document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist with mobility.
• Transport patients to treatment areas.
