Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for per diem night shifts at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs. The RRT performs respiratory therapies, diagnostics, and critical care support as directed by medical leadership.

Required credentials include RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility within 3 months, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with acute care experience preferred. Per diem status offers flexible scheduling and a dedicated team environment.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required or obtained within specified timelines.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and ABG analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and life-support equipment.
• Assist in emergencies with airway management and resuscitation.
• Assess respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of equipment to prevent infections.
