Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Department of Medicine in the ICU/CCU at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. This per diem night position involves collaboration with residents and intensivists to deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients.

The ideal candidate will have Critical Care APP experience, ventilation management skills, and NJ licensure eligibility, with ACLS and BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• ACLS and BLS required.
• Minimum of two years as PA or NP.
• Acute Care experience; Critical Care preferred.
• Ventilation management experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients in the combined Medical‑Surgical ICU and Cardiac ICU.
• Collaborate with medical residents, intensivists and cardiologists in patient care.
• Provide per diem night coverage, 7pm–7am, 3–5 shifts per month.
• Support ventilation management and critical care duties as an APP.
