Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures with emphasis on patient safety and comfort. You will work under the MRI Chief Technologist, delivering high-quality scans while maintaining documentation and collaborating with radiology staff.

Two years of MRI experience is preferred; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification or ability to obtain within a year is expected. Per diem schedule and variable shifts provide flexibility and hands-on patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or MRI program accredited by ARRT.
• Two years MRI technologist experience preferred (RTR or CNMT with MRI welcome).
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification (or ability to obtain ARRT(MR) within one year).
• Current BLS healthcare provider certification.
• IV skills and comfort working with contrast.
• Strong communication and computer proficiency (PACS/RIS).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality MRI imaging while ensuring patients are comfortable in the magnetic environment.
• Assess patient conditions throughout exams and notify Radiologists of changes.
• Administer contrast material safely and appropriately.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, front desk staff, and hospital teams to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain accurate documentation, imaging archives, and patient information.
• Help train new staff, students, and interns sharing your skills.
• Stay current with trends, new technology, and evolving best practices.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote Service Excellence.
