Job summary

College Medical Center Long Beach is seeking a Per Diem MRI Tech to support our imaging services department. You will perform high-quality MRI procedures, ensure MRI safety, prep patients for exams, and follow workstation protocols.

The role requires ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification preferred, with 2 years MRI experience and familiarity with acute care hospital settings. Shifts vary between NOC and Day to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• ARRT in MRI, or ARMRIT license preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited MRI program preferred.
• Two years MRI experience preferred.
• Two years’ experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality MRI procedures proficiently.
• Proficient in MRI safety.
• Instructs, educates, and prepares patient for exam.
• Knowledge of patient preps for various MRI procedures.
• Proficient in filming and workstation protocols.
• Demonstrates knowledge of IV contrast injection protocols and reactions.
• Assesses patient before, during and after procedure.
• Exhibits courteous, compassionate and respectful behavior to patients and staff.
• Other duties as assigned
