Qualifications

• Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
• OB/GYN Specialist Certification (ARDMS).
• Two years of MFM Ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform MFM ultrasound procedures on patients as assigned.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients.
• Verify and perform correct imaging protocol and scanner parameters.
• Ensure patient and staff safety for equipment used.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Perform quality control on equipment and devices as required.
• Communicate with other staff/departments to coordinate care.
• Maintain supply stock and request orders when necessary.
• Keep work areas clean per DPH and The Joint Commission.
• May teach students and support new technologists.
