Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a per diem MFM sonographer to perform level II ultrasounds and assist in procedures under the maternal fetal medicine division.

The role requires an accredited ultrasound program graduate and RDMS eligibility, with at least 2 years of Level II experience preferred; per diem day shift.

You will work with the SSH Perinatology team, ensure safety and patient comfort, and may participate in training and research activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Program is required.
• RDMS or eligible certification preferred.
• Minimum two years of Level II scanning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews requests for level II scans on patients.
• Explains exam to the patient with attention to physical and emotional needs.
• Reviews exam and collaborates with MFM specialist promptly and collegially.
• Demonstrates bedside manners and maintains safety and patient privacy.
• May assist in OR ultrasound guidance under MFM staff supervision.
