Responsibilities

• Provides direct total patient care for a specific group of patients with collaboration as needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in nursing procedures and explains rationale for skills.
• Identifies patient care problems and intervenes based on biopsychosocial factors.
• Assesses patient status systematically and responds to changes in condition.
• Engages patient and family and health care team for continuity of care.
• Documents clearly and accurately in all nursing records.
• Adheres to universal precautions and may perform point of care testing or train others.
