Job summary

St. Rose Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the Per-Diem AM shift. Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, you will perform critical lab testing and ensure quality service in reporting results. The ideal candidate holds a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License and has at least four years of relevant experience.

You will maintain a clean work environment, perform high-complexity testing, and notify care units of critical values. Bachelor degree in Biology is preferred with a focus in microbiology or chemistry.

Qualifications

• Current valid CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
• Sexual Harassment/Bullying Prevention Certification required (within 1 month of hire).
• Minimum four years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Function in all areas of the clinical laboratory including blood bank and microbiology.
• Perform high-complexity testing and follow established procedures.
• Notify of critical lab values according to policy.
