Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Per-diem) to perform specimen processing, test performance and result reporting across laboratory sections in Torrance, CA.

The CLS will support clerical tasks, patient care activities and ensure compliance with CLIA and departmental standards. Shifts are 8 hours and variable, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required at hire
• 1 year experience in clinical laboratory
• 1 year must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high complexity tests

Responsibilities

• Specimen processing, test performance, and test result reporting across laboratory sections
• Clerical support and patient care assistance
• Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining workspace
