Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, ID is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder II for a per-diem, 1-shift-per-week, on-site role. You will review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes, and ensure accurate, timely claims submissions to payers while maintaining compliance.

Qualified candidates will hold an active AAPC or AHIMA certification, have four years of healthcare coding experience, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork in a healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
• Active certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Four years of coding experience in a healthcare setting, inpatient/outpatient or specialty coding.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records, assign appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures and services.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to payers and government agencies for compliance and proper reimbursement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing staff to maintain coding guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions.
