Job summary

Bristol Hospital Group is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant for BHMG Medical Care Center in Bristol, CT 06010. You will assist in delivering patient care under provider direction and maintain clinical areas and exam rooms throughout the day.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program (or 1 year of direct patient care) and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR certification required prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under Medical Provider direction
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments per protocol
• Collect patient data and vital signs; perform routine tests
• Schedule diagnostic tests and coordinate with providers
• Process patient payments and manage administrative tasks
• Maintain lab equipment records and disposal procedures
• Obtain and document authorizations for visits and treatments
