Job summary

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for per diem work in Behavioral Health Services. The role supports physicians and patient care, including rooming patients, vital signs, blood draws, injections, and EMR documentation.

This is a part-time per diem position with competitive pay based on experience. Candidates should have medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and an ability to work both

Qualifications

• Maintenance of confidential information.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exam, and during procedures.
• Assist physician and physician’s assistant in examinations, including taking vital signs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information per procedures, including referrals and lab slips.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of learning.
• Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws and collecting specimens.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness and infection control.
