Job summary

Brookline College is seeking a Per-Diem Medical Assisting Instructor to support student success through engaging, hands-on instruction on our Tucson campus.

You will educate students, design lesson plans, and ensure alignment with syllabus competencies while providing advisement and academic counseling. Experience with LMS like Canvas/Blackboard is preferred, along with CMA/RMA credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or college degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, NRCMA) preferred

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
• Ensure students are aware of competencies for syllabus objectives
• Design and carry out a lesson plan for each class taught with accommodations
• Always exhibit World Class Service with students and coworkers
• Analyze signs of problems hindering achievement and take action
• Refer students to campus director or student services to improve achievement
• Identify and refer at-risk students to student services
• Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling
• Evaluate student abilities using diverse methods (cooperative learning, reports, teamwork)
• Contribute to academic committees for program and student life enrichment
• Support company initiatives by process and procedure as communicated
• Work and communicate effectively with campus staff
• Adhere to all policies and regulations
