Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with procedures in-office and support phlebotomy and lab tasks. Travel to clinics across Florida required; valid Florida driver’s license needed.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Ideal candidates have at least one year of MA experience in a clinical setting, with preferred venipuncture skills and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics.
• High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
