Job summary

IVI-RMA North America in Sandy, Utah, seeks a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinical team. The role offers flexible shifts, with coverage Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, and a focus on preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, and documenting in the EMR.

The ideal candidate has Phlebotomy experience, Medical Assistant certification (preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, medical office, or specialty practice preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required or strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing clinic needs.
• Women's health, fertility, or OB/GYN experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments, exams, and procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures
• Provide patient education and reinforce care instructions as directed by providers
• Support clinic workflow by coordinating patient care activities and maintaining efficient patient flow
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection according to established protocols
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and clinical areas
• Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
