Job summary

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist for its Mammography office in Northern Virginia. The technologist will perform 3D digital mammography to assist in diagnosis in the OBGYN office.

The ideal candidate must have ARRT Registration and Mammography certification, be able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills. English communication and documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration (R.T.(R)) required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required.
• State Department of Radiation Control license (if applicable).
• Maintain registry status and continuing education.
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the MQSA and ACR requirements and continuing education.
