Job summary

Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inc. seeks a Mammography Technologist for per diem day shifts in the Breast Health Services department. You will perform breast imaging exams, quality control, and rotate locations to meet department needs.

Responsibilities include patient identification, education, accurate EMR entries, and adherence to MSQA/FDA/ACR standards. Requires AMA-approved Radiologic Tech program, ARRT RT, CMT on hire, and BLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Less than 1 year of screening/diagnostic mammography experience.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology (ARRT) upon hire.
• CMT - Certified Mammography Technologist (ARRT) upon hire.
• BLS from AHA within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality mammographic imaging following ACR positioning guidelines.
• Evaluate and adjust positioning and technical factors to optimize images.
• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and document in EMR.
• Educate patients and explain procedures to support patient safety and compliance.
• Rotate locations and shifts as needed to meet departmental requirements.
