Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging under physician direction while maintaining radiation safety and high patient care standards. This is a per diem, on-site role with an evening shift, requiring a radiography program credential and PA licensure.

You will operate imaging equipment, document exams, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely, accurate studies while supporting patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma required.
• Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Completion of Radiologic program.
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information.
• Knowledge of radiation producing equipment and safety.

Responsibilities

• Produces images of diagnostic quality and prepares them for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Provides radiation protection in accordance with safety standards.
• Uses appropriate exposure factors, collimation, and proper distance with documentation.
• Assumes responsibility for safety of self and others.
• Ensures correct exam is ordered and attached to the patient folder.
• Confirms levels of supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs.
• Documents LMP, fluoroscopy time, radiologist, number of images, and history.
• Coordinates daily work and timing of exams within the team.
• Ensures images cross into PACS before study completion.
• Obtains missing information prior to treatment.
• Reports equipment malfunction and coordinates repairs.
• Assists in education and training of new employees and students.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
