Job summary

Qualifications

• Provides patient care during mammographic studies.
• Operates mammographic radiographic equipment.
• Transfers and guides patients through procedures.
• Follows department policies and adapts techniques as needed.
• Calculates and applies technical factors based on patient size and breast tissue.
• Reviews images for proper identification and diagnostic quality.
• Assists in specialized examinations (implant imaging, localization, MRI).
• Provides orientation and training to new staff and performs quality control.

Responsibilities

• Care for psychological and physical needs of patients undergoing mammography.
• Operate and set up mammography equipment with aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians in specialized breast imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient identification and proper documentation of images.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
