Qualifications

Summary:

Performs routine maintenance and repair of residence, maintains the physical appearance of grounds and building, and ensures safety and soundness of the structure. Works with outside contractors as needed. Responsible for cleaning residents' rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc. Discards waste into proper containers, replaces light bulbs, and assists with general housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  1. Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, coworkers, and the community.
  2. Actively participate in growing community occupancy by engaging positively with potential residents, their families, and professionals.
  3. Perform all duties with a positive attitude.
  4. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on residence equipment.
  5. Ensure work areas are free of hazards.
  6. Attend all required training and orientations.
  7. Participate in the community's on-call program as directed.
  8. Follow safety procedures and precautions when performing environmental services.
  9. Replace burned-out light bulbs in various fixtures.
  10. Coordinate with vendors for maintenance services.
  11. Use chemicals and equipment properly and safely.
  12. Manage waste disposal and trash receptacles appropriately.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and moving furniture and equipment.

  • Minimum four years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • HVAC certification preferred; valid driver’s license required.
