Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA, seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join the Ambulatory Float Team on a per diem basis. You will support patient care across 25+ specialties in a fast-paced ambulatory network, rotating among clinics to provide clinical support as needed.

The role requires travel to UCLA Health community practices throughout Southern California, with a minimum availability of two weekdays and one weekend per month, plus a two-week training period.

Qualifications

Active CA LVN license required (IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal)
BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
Experience with phlebotomy, injections, CPR, and meds administration
Ability to take vitals, administer meds, and refill orders
Strong interpersonal skills with clinicians and staff
Knowledge of instruments and supplies for exams and procedures
Minimum six months LVN outpatient clinic experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and clinical support across ambulatory clinics
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient clinic operations
Cover multiple practices within UCLA Health ambulatory network
Be flexible with schedule and travel between clinics (West LA area and surrounding sites)
