Job summary

Community Action Organization Of Western New York Inc is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to manage and dispense medications and support nursing care under the Nursing Supervisor. Responsibilities include patient assessments, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, lab monitoring, and charting.

Qualifications

• NYS License to Practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in substance use treatment preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Receives and records medication into inventory.
• Dispenses and reconciles medication, reporting discrepancies.
• Verifies patient identity and observes behavior during care.
• Records observations in the clinical record and prepares reports.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, vital signs, and toxicology tests.
• Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and trainings.
