Health Care Resource Center in New Bedford seeks a Per Diem Dispensing Nurse – LPN to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team, in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The role includes maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information.

An ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with MA license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems and medication dispensing preferred.
• Experience in chemical dependency treatment is a plus.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsabilités

• Administer daily medication to patients per policy and protocols.
• Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, maintain equipment.
• Produce and maintain records and reports per company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards for controlled substances per CFR.
• Order, receive, and stock medication per DEA and state regulations.
• Provide daily patient assessment.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new staff.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
