Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care in a warm, home-like setting in Massachusetts. This per diem role offers flexible hours and an attractive hourly wage of $38–$42.

Responsibilities include accurate assessment, documentation, and communication of residents’ status; supervising Resident Care Assistants; coordinating care with the care team; and maintaining resident independence while ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with elderly residents is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes changes in resident health and reports them to the care team.
• Directs and supervises daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors Lead RCAs in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balances service demands with resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and uses personal emergency response systems appropriately.
