Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texarkana, TX seeks a licensed practical nurse for PRN shifts to support clinic operations. You will provide bedside care under physician supervision, perform vital signs, collect specimens, assist with examinations, and help manage patient flow.

Responsibilities include administering medications and immunizations, preparing exam rooms, handling routine clerical tasks, and supporting communication with patients and providers. BLS and state LPN license are required.

Qualifications

• Provides patient care under supervision.
• Performs basic clinical duties including vitals and specimen collection.
• Assists provider with examinations and patient flow.
• Administers medications/immunizations per order.
• Maintains and cleans exam rooms and equipment.
• Performs routine clerical duties and chart handling.

Responsibilities

• Under physician direction; performs basic patient care duties including obtaining vitals, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (including phlebotomy).
• Answers phone, records messages, assists with scheduling tests and pre-certification, documents information, and assists with medication refills.
• Administers medications/immunizations per provider order.
• Cleans/restocks exam rooms, cleans equipment, and orders stock supplies.
• Performs routine clerical duties (chart location, filing, forms).
• Attends meetings and in-service trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
