Lifeskills Behavioral Health Orlando is seeking an experienced LPN for a per diem position. The role supports a low staff-to-client ratio in a private, downtown Orlando setting, delivering medication administration, nursing assessments, and coordinated health services under physician orders.

Ideal candidates hold Florida LPN licensure, with an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and preference for psychiatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LPN licensure in Florida.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a comprehensive nursing assessment identifying client’s medical needs, capabilities and limitations.
• Records and transcribes physicians’ orders; executes STAT orders as directed.
• Communicates observations and recommendations for client’s care plan to the treatment team.
• Administers medications according to physician orders and MAR; administers injections as ordered.
• Coordinates pharmacy and laboratory orders, deliveries, and refills with vendors.
• Maintains security of controlled medications and accurate recording of use.
• Documents nursing assessments and weekly notes in Best Notes per policy.
• Assists in admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth communication flow.
