Job summary

FOX Television Stations is seeking an experienced Relief Technician to join our team on a temporary, per diem basis to provide flexible operational assistance and shift coverage for live control room and master control operations. The role operates production automation systems to deliver live newscasts, sports events, local productions, and daily on-air content.

Qualifications

3–4 years of operational experience in a broadcast environment.
Associate degree or equivalent hands-on broadcast experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Available to work temporary, per diem shifts including weekends/holidays as needed.
Proven proficiency with Sony ELC, Evertz Mediator and standard live control room hardware.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate Sony ELC and Evertz Mediator for live control room and master control playout.
Execute live newscasts and coordinate with News Directors and Producers for swift direction changes.
Produce live and taped local sports and public affairs programming.
Manage automated transmission to integrate commercials with live programming with Sales/Traffic teams.
Monitor on-air signals and equipment to ensure high-quality broadcast delivery.
Perform additional operational duties as assigned by leadership.
