Job summary

Healthy Together seeks a bilingual Nevada-licensed Optician to support community-based vision care in Las Vegas and Clark County. The role blends optical dispensing with public health outreach, facilitating free eye exams and eyewear at schools, centers and libraries.

Eligible candidates will hold an active Nevada Optician license and have at least three years of dispensing experience, with strong attention to detail and patient rapport; per-diem, 1099 contractor role.

Responsibilities

• Fit and dispense eyewear based on optometrist prescriptions.
• Adjust and repair frames on site.
• Educate patients and guide frame and lens selection.
• Verify prescriptions, measurements, orders, and documentation.
• Coordinate with optometrists and support staff.
• Help with event setup and patient flow.
• Check in eyeglasses to verify Rx.
• Dispense eyeglasses.

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Schedule: Per-Diem, Event-Based

Location: Las Vegas and Clark County, NV

Healthy Together is seeking a bilingual, Nevada-licensed Optician to support community-based vision care for underserved populations throughout Clark County. As a public-private partnership, we work with community partners to bring free eye exams and prescription glasses directly to schools, community centers, libraries, and other locations where access to care is limited.

Our program offers over 300 styles of glasses to choose from. This role combines optical dispensing with public health outreach in a fast-paced environment, working alongside optometrists and support staff to help patients access the eyewear they need.

What You’ll Do

• Fit and dispense eyewear based on optometrist prescriptions


• Adjust and repair frames on site


• Educate patients and guide frame and lens selection

What We’re Looking For
