Job summary

Healthy Together seeks a bilingual Nevada-licensed Optician to support community-based vision care in Las Vegas and Clark County. The role blends optical dispensing with public health outreach, facilitating free eye exams and eyewear at schools, centers and libraries.

Eligible candidates will hold an active Nevada Optician license and have at least three years of dispensing experience, with strong attention to detail and patient rapport; per-diem, 1099 contractor role.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada Dispensing Optician license in good standing.
• At least three years of optical dispensing experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and good patient rapport.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, community-based settings.
• Reliable transportation, adaptability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Fit and dispense eyewear based on optometrist prescriptions.
• Adjust and repair frames on site.
• Educate patients and guide frame and lens selection.
• Verify prescriptions, measurements, orders, and documentation.
• Coordinate with optometrists and support staff.
• Help with event setup and patient flow.
• Check in eyeglasses to verify Rx.
• Dispense eyeglasses.
