Job summary

CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a perinatal nurse to provide independent, comprehensive care in a clinical setting. You will manage long-range goals, delegate as needed, and apply the nursing process across patient care in a perinatal unit.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 1 year in perinatal nursing (preferred), and active RN licensure in the state or compact. BLS, and perinatal certifications are required with onboarding within policy timeframes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of perinatal nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS required; NRP/ACLS certifications per policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Provide education to patients and families; assess learning needs.
