Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking an Interventional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures in the Interventional Radiology suite.

The role covers pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and participating in call coverage as required. Oregon RN licensure and IR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice.
• Preferred: BSN in nursing.
• Required: Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred: Certifications such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure nursing assessments and review relevant clinical information.
• Administer and monitor sedation per policy; monitor vital signs and airway status.
• Coordinate nursing care in the procedure room and assist with vascular access site management.
• Provide post-procedure assessments and patient/family education; ensure safe discharge and handoff.
