Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an Inpatient Physical Therapist for our Acute Care Unit. You will evaluate, treat, and collaborate with the care team to support mobility and discharge planning.

The role emphasizes using up-to-date techniques, working in a fast-paced hospital environment, and communicating clearly with patients and families. Graduation from an accredited PT program and a CT license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Current State of CT license (PT).
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
• Work in a fast-paced hospital environment with ongoing collaboration with staff, patients, and families.
• Develops and carries out techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment.
• Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status.
• Provides clear information regarding client status to patient, family, treatment team and other professionals.
