Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an Inpatient Physical Therapist for our Inpatient Acute Care Unit. Per diem, part-time role focusing on evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning to improve mobility.

The PT will collaborate with physicians and care teams, perform patient evaluations, adapt treatment plans, and communicate progress clearly to patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current CT license.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with staff, patients, and families.
• Develops and carries out a variety of techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment appropriate to established goals.
• Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status and capabilities.
• Provides appropriate information regarding client status to patient, family, treatment team and other professionals in a clear and concise manner.
