Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required.
• Licensure: NJ Occupational Therapist license required; NBCOT certification.
• Experience: 1-2 years inpatient hospital OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inpatient OT evaluations including strength, ROM, ADLs, mobility and functional goals.
• Develop and update individualized plans of care based on evaluation findings and goals.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence, mobility, self-care and daily activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team to plan discharge and ensure safe care.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge recommendations, and billing records in the EMR.
• Educate patients and caregivers and adapt education to cultural and learning needs.
• Schedule and manage inpatient caseload and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
