Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist for Jersey City Medical Center. You will evaluate inpatient patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based OT services aimed at improving independence and safety.

Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and therapists is essential to support discharge planning and patient outcomes. Qualifications include a NJ OT license, NBCOT, BLS, and 1–2 years inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required.
• Master's degree or Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatient patients for strength, ROM, ADLs, mobility, balance, and function.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized OT plans of care.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence and safety.
• Perform timely evaluations, treatment notes, discharge planning, and documentation per policy.
• Educate patients and caregivers and collaborate with the care team for safe discharge.
• Supervise students or staff as assigned and participate in quality initiatives.
