Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (desired).
• Currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois.
• Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience and two years retail pharmacy experience is desired.
• Capable of evaluating and monitoring drug therapy relative to ambulatory care needs in collaboration with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Must be able to work effectively with others to provide safe and effective drug therapy.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems.
• Flexibility with work schedule.
• Participation and membership in professional societies is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Dependable in attendance and job performance.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic.

Responsabilités

• Interprets and validates prescriptions for legibility and authenticity.
• Checks patient profile for pertinent medication information before dispensing.
• Evaluates dosage regimen for appropriateness of dosage, interval, formulation, and duration of therapy.
• Evaluates refill status of prescription and may determine refill abuse or non-compliance.
• Fills and checks prescription orders in a timely manner.
• Assists in procurement, inventory control, record maintenance and distribution of investigational drugs.
• Provides supervision for technical staff and coordinates workflow.
• Participates in implementation of electronic data processing systems in the pharmacy.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
