Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's RWJ Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, NJ is seeking a Pharmacist I to join the Pharmacy team. The role involves reviewing prescriptions, dispensing medications, and ensuring safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care for inpatients and outpatients in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications include ACPE-accredited education or FPGEC, 3+ years as a pharmacist, NJ license, and proficiency with pharmacy software. The position is paid hourly at $72.45, with per diem status as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy or FPGEC certification with internship hours.
• 3+ years of experience as a registered Pharmacist.
• Active unrestricted Pharmacist license/registration from the State of New Jersey.
• Proficiency in the use of pharmacy and other departmental software required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify orders for completeness, accuracy and appropriateness.
• Prepare or supervise dispensing of medications for inpatients and outpatients, including unit dose, Pyxis, IV admixture, chemotherapy and sterile products.
• Demonstrate competency in utilizing EPIC for documentation of clinical interventions.
• Maintains exceptional customer service and effective communication with providers and nurses.
• Perform medication counseling, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and renal dose monitoring.
• Adhere to RWJBH standards and departmental practices.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
