Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a BS in Pharmacy and be licensed in the state of employment.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense medication orders, with proper handling and storage.
• Serve as information resource to patients, physicians, nurses and staff regarding medication therapy.
• Coordinate with medical staff to deliver cost-effective drug therapies.
• Participate in Antibiotic Stewardship Program focusing on patient safety.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all age groups.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.
