Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) to support the Environmental Services Department. Hours vary, including every other weekend, with a starting rate of $21.21/hr.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, waste removal and linen changes in patient rooms; the role may require work at Union Campus and handling cleaning of bodily fluids as part of routine EVS duties.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history a must.
• Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers).
• If 16 or 17 years-old, valid working papers required.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture in inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms.
• EVS Aide will also need to work at Union Campus.
• Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.
