Job summary

Holisticare Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families during life’s meaningful moments. The Chaplain will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic, compassionate care across Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland County.

The role emphasizes comforting presence, interfaith respect, and collaboration with care teams, with a focus on dignity and peace at end-of-life."

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in theology or pastoral ministry; BD/MDiv or equivalent preferred.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is strongly preferred.
• Experience providing spiritual care in hospice, hospital, or clinical settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Provide spiritual counseling to individuals and families of all faiths.
• Offer grief and bereavement support throughout the hospice journey.
• Collaborate with IDT to coordinate holistic spiritual care and support.
• Communicate with hospice staff and partners to ensure quality care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per regulatory standards.
