Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist for day schedules in the Roanoke, VA area. You will deliver OT services under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring safety, efficacy, and proper documentation in a home health setting.

Qualified candidates hold a Virginia OT license, ACOTE-accredited degree, NBCOT eligibility, and CPR certification, with at least one year of OT experience. Mentoring may be required for less experience. Join us to help patients heal at home.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state (Virginia).
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Eligible to sit NBCOT exam (or NBCOT-certified).
• Minimum one year OT experience; if less, mentoring required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery provided under a physician approved plan of care.
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if identified problems are not addressed in the plan of care.
• Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
