BrightStar Care seeks a part-time Occupational Therapist to support our home health caseload in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Visit volume may fluctuate with referrals, and the schedule may start slow but grow into a consistent part-time workload. Ideally, 2–3 days per week for client meetings and service expansion.

Qualifications

• OT program graduate recognized by AOTA or national body
• Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in MN
• Minimum 4 years as OT; home care experience a plus
• Criminal background check required
• CPR certification required
• Active driver’s license and clear driving record
• Computer skills
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate OT modalities for patients.
• Follow policies, procedures, and competency guidelines within the department and organization.
• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities.
• Return patient to optimum, productive level within patient’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with home care personnel on care planning.
• Take initial history and perform initial evaluation.
• Consult with physicians regarding patient progress.
• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities as assigned.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes.
• Develop and revise the plan of care; consult with family as needed.

We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with flexible, variable availability to support our growing home health caseload in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Visit volume may fluctuate based on referral flow and territory, and because we are actively building our occupational therapy program, the schedule may start out slow but will steadily grow into a consistent part-time workload. Ideally, we’re looking for 2–3 days of availability each week to meet with clients and help expand OT services across our service area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all occupational therapy modalities to patients.
• All duties and standards will be performed according to established policies, procedures, and competency guidelines within the department and organization.

• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.

Requirements:

• A graduate of a OT Program recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association or other National accepted Council or Association
• An active license to practice Occupational Therapy in MN
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Occupational Therapist, home care experience a plus
• Must have criminal background check
• Must have current CPR certification
• Must have active driver's license and clear driving record
• Computer skills.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
