Job summary

Qualifications

• AA or AS degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
• One year experience in an Acute Care Facility setting and 3 years clinical training in an approved Histology Training Program.
• Valid Histology ASCP Certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• The Histology Technologist is responsible for processing all tissues and fluids submitted to the Pathology service, preparing/staining tissue slides and assuring they are available in a timely manner for Pathologist review and interpretation.
