Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, via Caretenders (a part of LHC Group), is seeking a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under physician direction and an interdisciplinary team. The role supports patients and families by addressing social and emotional factors impacting health, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires an MSW from an accredited program, KY social work licensure eligibility, CPR certification, and 1+ year healthcare social work

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work.
• Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Licensed Social Worker in KY (or eligible per state rules).
• CPR certification (or ability to complete within 90 days of hire).
• Licensed Social Worker in the state of residence.
• 1+ year of social work experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical social services under the direction of a physician and Interdisciplinary Group to assist in understanding social and emotional factors related to health status.
• Develop coping mechanisms for patients and families.

Education
