Job summary

The Elliot Security Department is seeking a dedicated security officer to protect patients, staff and visitors at Elliot Health System locations. You will conduct patrols, check doors and alarms, document activities, and respond to emergencies and access requests.

Per Diem, 1st shift. Requires HS diploma, NH driver’s license with clean record, CPI certification within 6 months, and no serious criminal history.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Current NH driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPI certification required within six months of hire; capable of certification for use of handcuffs, OC foam and Tasers.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular patrols of Elliot Health System buildings and grounds, checks doors, windows, alarms and firefighting equipment.
• Patrols employee parking lot to ensure safety of departing employees.
• Documents all activity in the Security Log.
• Responds to emergency situations including Code Red, Code Grey, Code Yellow and Code Blue.
• Assists authorized employees and physicians requiring access to building areas.
• Maintains radio communication with hospital Communications Center and other security officers.

Education
