Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center is seeking security personnel to protect patients, staff and visitors. The role includes rounds, incident reporting, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure a safe hospital environment.

Daily duties include monitoring security systems, handling aggressive behavior, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should be prepared for third shift and weekend work, with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days of employment (e.g., handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention).
• Must have or be able to attend CPI training program.
• Must have valid driver’s license for mobile patrol of facility.
• One to two years of related security experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Security/Safety rounds of the facility twice during shift.
• Documents findings, identifies discrepancies and hazards, and tests alarm systems.
• Assists in the management of aggressive/combative patients.
• Assists licensed clinical staff in application of restraints.
• Monitors high-risk patients awaiting disposition in the ED.
• Understands and applies the hospital’s Use of Force policy.
• Provides documentation of security incidents and activity.
• Describes and records incidents in daily activity logs.
• Facilitates use of emergency evacuation heliport and follows policies.
