Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Spring Hill, FL is seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with hands-on hand therapy experience to join our outpatient clinic. You’ll treat upper extremity conditions and work alongside seasoned therapists and surgeons.

Responsibilities include optimizing patient function, teaching task strategies, and ensuring high-quality care with thorough documentation in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTA-accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• National registration and state COTA licensure required.
• 1 year experience working with hand therapy patients.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality patient care services.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short‑term treatment goals
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
