Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide per diem coverage in our hand therapy program. The role requires at least one year of hand therapy experience, licensure, CPR, and a valid driver's license.

You will work with a supportive outpatient team, treating upper extremity conditions, and collaborating with regional CHTs on education, best practices, and scheduling support; duties include documenting care and achieving treatment

Qualifications

Graduate of ACOTA-accredited OTA program.
National registration and state COTA licensure required.
At least 1 year of hand therapy experience.
CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short‑term treatment goals.
Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
