Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Trinity, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide per diem coverage in our hand therapy program. You will work under the supervision of an OT, treating upper-extremity conditions.

Candidates should have at least one year of hand therapy experience or completed fieldwork with Select Medical. CPR certification and COTA licensure are required, and a valid Florida driver's license helps with outreach and clinic coverage.

Qualifications

• One year of recent hand therapy experience or completed fieldwork in hand therapy with Select Medical.
• CPR certification
• National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
• Graduate of an ACOTA accredited OTA program
• One year current working experience with hand therapy patients or fieldwork with Select Medical

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
